What You'll Study

Our 200-hour curriculum covers:

  • Yoga Asana — alignment, adjustments, and sequencing for all levels. From the lineage of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Iyengar Yoga as learned through Maty Ezraty, Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, Krista Cahill, and Annie Carpenter.

  • Anatomy & Physiology — how the body moves safely through practice. Lead by Professor Melanie Druery, an expert in the field.

  • Teaching Methodology — how to cue, sequence, and hold space for a class. This includes trauma informed methodology to root your teaching in accesibility and inclusivity.

  • Yoga Philosophy & History — the roots of the practice you'll be sharing from Patanjalis Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gita, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the Radiance Sutras.

  • Meditation, Pranayama— breathwork and stillness practices

  • Energy Body - Chakras, Auric Fields, and Fascia Lines

  • Practicum Hours — real teaching experience with feedback before you graduate

  • Expertise from career Yoga Teachers. Our faculty has a combined 50 years of training experience. This is something valuable and unique to Lotus House.

Lotus House of Yoga has been an esteemed member of the Yoga Alliance since 2010. The Yoga Alliance curriculum review and teaching standards protect you as you invest your time and resources in the training.
